As we were preparing our National Lottery Heritage Fund bid, we wanted to know just how long Rimrose Valley, as we know it today, has been in existence.

We knew reclamation works started in 1993, but with this kind of work, is there ever really an end date?

Turns out, there was!

Green Sefton raided their archives and discovered that, on THIS day in 2001, Rimrose Valley Country Park was officially declared ‘open’.
