Motorbikes on Rimrose Valley

2015 Police Crackdown on Scrambler Bikes and Motorbikes on Rimrose Valley

Starting over the weekend of 18 April and for all weekends thereafter throughout the summer, and with extra dates during school holidays where possible, the police will be targeting and cracking down on the use of motorbikes in Rimrose Valley and surrounding areas. At these times there will be a regular Police presence with the use of police bikes and a Landrover.
The Police will be issuing as many Section 59 notices as possible. Section 59 gives the Police the power to seize motor vehicles which are driven in a careless and inconsiderate way or are being driven in prohibited off-road areas.
The police will be focusing on this campaign to coincide with the times that Rimrose Valley will be used the most, to encourage the public to feel safe and to get out and enjoy the environment Rimrose Valley has to offer.

PLEASE HELP BY REPORTING ALL SIGHTINGS AND ANY OTHER INFORMATION YOU HAVE TO THE POLICE
We are asking people to please report any information about the sightings or storage of these vehicles. No report is too small, and every log is looked at by the Police and used to build a picture. Please do phone every sighting through and don't be put off by concerns of your call not being taken into account. Even if the police aren't able to pursue and catch a motorbike from your report, your call will serve two important purposes.  Firstly, it helps to build a pattern of activity so the police are better able to know where the motorbike will be and when. And secondly it adds to the statistics which helps when the police are allocating resources. Put another way, the more calls the police receive about the misuse of scrambler and motorbikes the more easily they can justify putting time and money into addressing it.

To report a scrambler bike incident or sighting call the police:

On 101 or 0151 709 6010
Or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
Or if it's an emergency call 999

Thank you for your support and please don't hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any questions or comments.
