Operation Payette Police Crackdown on Motorbikes on Rimrose Valley

lowres-webbkgrnd.jpg

The organisers of Rimrose Valley Friends attended a Police Meeting on 2nd May where we were told to expect up to 14 Police officers on Sunday 3rd May at 3:45pm in Rimrose Valley, arriving at the Beach Road entrance in Litherland, for the press launch of Operation Payette, their initiative to get as many Scrambler bikes off of our parks and streets and seized as possible over the summer.

This event will be publicised to send a message out that the Police are serious and for the illegal motorbike users to watch out, and that they will be maintaining their presence on police quadbikes in Rimrose Valley throughout the spring and summer.

The Police are listening to us and they're determined to work with the communities around Rimrose Valley to get the results we all want. Thanks to everyone who goes to the trouble of reporting to the police their sightings of the bikes, this is what's got their attention, please keep up the great work!

If you can spare some time on Sunday at 3:45pm, please do join us at the Beach Road entrance in Litherland for a few minutes so we can show the Police we support and appreciate their focus on this. A decent turnout will give the Police a reassuring message that they're well supported in doing this, which will help them to keep a focus on the task over the summer and beyond.

Remember, to report any scrambler bike incident or sighting, call the police:

  • On 101 or 0151 709 6010
  • Or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
  • Or if it's an emergency call 999

Thank you for your support and please don't hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any questions or comments.
