Rimrose Valley has so much to offer! Wetlands, leafy trails, woodland to explore, wildflower meadows, a nature reserve, wide open spaces, or even a walk along the adjoining Leeds-Liverpool canal. All of it teeming with wildlife. It is also home to a public running track which is free for everyone to use, 365 days a year and the park’s paths and trails are popular with cyclists, runners and ramblers alike! Bring a blanket and picnic in the fields or stop at the tables and benches. Kick a football, fly a kite, or simply sit back and enjoy everything nature has to offer.
Our interactive map not only shows you where the park is located, it also contains various pieces of useful information including entrances, car parks and some of the more establish paths along Rimrose and their typical terrain. But remember, Rimrose can become wet! Like much of the surrounding area, it has a high water table, so don’t forget to pack your wellies especially if you visit in autumn and winter!
Getting here
If you’re not from the area, finding Rimrose Valley for the first time can be a little tricky! Parking is also limited so putting a little thought into your trip will help make your visit as enjoyable as possible.
We’re BIG fans of keeping things green, so if you’re travelling from further afield, why not come on your bike, catch the train or take the bus and begin your adventure from the nearest entrance?
For people with mobility issues, we’re currently working with Green Sefton to define the most suitable routes so that you can access and get around the park safely and enjoy your time. We’ll be updating the map as soon as it’s ready.
