On behalf of our charity, Rimrose Valley Friends, we wanted to share some exciting news.
As well as doing everything we can to promote and protect Rimrose Valley through our regular activities and campaign work, our charity’s official purpose is “To connect and strengthen the communities of Rimrose Valley, fostering ties between the people and the relevant statutory bodies” and “To improve the health of the people of the Rimrose Valley communities.”
With that in mind, we and a handful of other groups from the local area have got together to form the start of what we hope will become a much bigger community alliance, with a mission to work together and with our politicians to improve quality of life in South Sefton!
We’re calling it the South Sefton Communities Alliance, or the SSCA for short.
It’s been a lot of hard work behind the scenes getting to this point, juggling responsibilities to our own groups, but it’s very much a joint effort and we’re feeling extremely positive about what we can achieve.
To help this to be as successful as possible, right now, we need you to do 3 things:
1) Visit our website for more information, including details of how other community organisations can join us: www.southseftonalliance.org
2) Follow us on Facebook by clicking here and Twitter / X by clicking here
3) JOIN US for our first activity – a launch event and spot of gardening at Bowersdale Park THIS SUNDAY 19th November at 11am. Event details here.
We know this is short notice, but if you and your family and friends can make it, you’ll be very welcome.
We want the alliance to be successful and a force for good in South Sefton, so please help us to make this happen.
Thank you!
